Could anyone give me some step by step how to set up a pan on my ppc and laptop advent4211?
I would like connect my HTC Diamond (WM6.1) to my laptop via Bluetooth and use it as a modem. It works well when using the USB cable, but when using Bluetooth I can not connect to the Internet. Can I transfer files, but thats about it. TIA
Here's how you can do: Turn on the Bluetooth-enabled cell phone and activate the Bluetooth connection software. Make the phone discoverable. In Windows XP on the laptop go to My Bluetooth Places. Select View devices in range. After the discovery process is complete you should see the phone icon. Right click on the icon and select Discover Available Services. To connect your cell phone right-click the Dial-Up Networking. Select Dial-Up Networking. The phone prompts you to accept the connection request, decline to add or matched. The last step pairs the phone and laptop and performs the connection request. You will be asked to enter a PIN to pair the devices, the PIN is entered into the cell phone. A dialog appears asking the user name, password and phone number your ISP. Click the green button to complete the connection. Tips: To find the range equipment, you can click on the Bluetooth menu and select Search for devices or open all the Bluetooth Neighborhood and press F5. Matching a phone and a laptop and can be set whenever you need and you have to go through the setup process each time.
