If you are new to AdWords, it is tempting to spend too much time and energy trying to craft a "murderer" of ad. But the truth is that writing ads is a science, not art. Some of standards.

1) never fly blind …

In more than five years to develop AdWords campaigns, we've never seen a non-profitable track conversions.

The AdWords Conversion Tracking is simple to install and a "must" for measuring ad performance. Remember, if the Click-Through-Rate (CTR) of an ad does not say anything about the return on investment being made. We have seen many examples of ads with a CTR conversion rates lower but higher.

Google Analytics adds data, obviously, much more, but it takes time to master. However, a feature that is good to have the immediate ability to tell the ad placement that gives the best results.

Finally, do not forget the AdWords reports section. This has improved considerably over the past year, and the search report query performance is a real asset in optimizing keywords and ad text.

2) Cut out the middleman …

In this case, human "Average" it is Google. In the development and testing of ads, is vital to put as much control as possible:

Delivery Method: By default, Google distributes its announcements at regular intervals throughout the day, taking care not to exhaust your daily budget (and you get to spend much of it as possible). However, it also serves to mask the true demand for your product or service. We have seen many cases where ads are more profitable at certain times of day. If you have a budget limited, spend when you get the best possible performance. We recommend running campaigns using Accelerated delivery. Keep an eye on your daily budget and adjust accordingly.

Ad Serving size: If you use multiple ads, Google will start automatically in favor of one with the highest CTR once a certain volume of clicks it has received. We never use the default optimized, and we recommend you select Rotate ads.

We have AdWords campaigns for some of our customers which have been running for over three years, but always maintain at least two ad variations per ad group. Even if only one word difference, an announcement will ultimately deliver superior results and improved ROI.

The Rotate option also gives you more granularity when testing changes ad. Say you want to split 1/3-2/3; Simply create two copies of "A" and one of the ads "B". Using the same principle which 60/40 and 70/30 to create divisions, which are very useful in certain circumstances.

Network Options: Start of the test using the Google search network. Clear the option to both its partners and content networks. Once you have some solid data to the public in search traffic, you can add its partners. Partners Google's are a pretty "mixed", and you may decide to exclude completely (often do).

Finally, allow the network of content and offers content. Never operate the content network with the same bid as Search – you are the disbursement of Google. By default, set content bids 1 / 10 that in the search network: so if its offer of Investigation is 0.50p, set your content bid 0.05p for the opening.

If you find that your product or service "traction" on the content network (true in about 25% of cases in our experience), may be worth running campaigns separate content searches.

All these options can be defined from the Campaign Management tab in your account. Select a campaign and click the Change Settings button.

3) A stitch in time …

It is important to optimize your ads (and separately your keywords and bids) to a fixed schedule. By default, we run a three-month cycle: Every three hours the first day. Each day during the first week. Each week during the first month. Every two weeks for the second month. At the end of the third month.

You can adjust this program based on the volume of clicks, but make sure you have a schedule and stick. You can learn more about your target audience and use their time more effectively. Do not forget to take weekdays, weekend effect and trends seasonal.

4) Study your Competition First …

Before writing your first ad, take time to study their competitors through a selection key words and basic expressions.

This is especially important if you plan to use Google's keyword insertion. This becomes increasingly popular and may be counter-productive, make the title of his appearance identical to that of the competition.

5) All for one and one for all …

Achieving Quality is good, and giving visitors a rewarding experience, means treating your keywords, ads and landing page as a single unit.

Make sure your keywords are most popular within the title and ad copy. If you can not accommodate core keywords in your ads, your ad groups additional segment.

According to research conducted by Google in 2005, the title of your ad represents 40% of its impact. The first line of copy accounts for 25%, the second line of 20% and the Display URL 15%.

AdWords power comes from the ability it gives you the opportunity to capture the precise moment searching for what you sell. The basic format of PPC ads is simple and works best with a single clear message and a strong call to action.

The debate between maximizing search engine natural or organic as compared to pay per click has been waging for some time between the world of search engine marketing is better and more productive use of a limited budget of the online marketing company. These figures are for discussion because they are closely kept secret in the industry, but generally a 60/40 split is accepted.

Google has 60% market share of all research and 30% of the local search market.

If I do PPC on Google, no doubt the best I can hope for is 60% (Google Market Share) 40% (PPC Clicks) or 24% of all searches could click my ad at a potential of 60% of all ecological research. Big difference!

The gap is even greater if we focus exclusively on local search. With local search, Google has only 30% of the market where 30% 40% equal 12% of all searches in the local potential can be a success in its advertisement for the same 60% in the organic listings.

60% to 12% for local search is a huge difference. If you invest your money trying to win new customers at a local market, PPC with Google just made to facilitate access to a large enough audience to succeed. And since it merely clicks available, the cost per click on an auction system is forced upward. Supply and demand create higher costs per click, reducing the return on investment and severely limit the available market.

Organic Optimization offers 5 times the audience of potential customers and not the cost per click. The difficulty is that organic compounds takes time to build and can not be guaranteed. My experience with most companies is that the supposed PPC PPC warranty is really only a guarantee of failure to pay more for leads … and this does not surprise me with the simple supply and demand of the principles at work.

Even if you decide you need to pay per click in the three Major search engines: Google, Yahoo and MSN to cover all your bases, always forget to take in 60% of all clicks, because they simply are not in their ads. Marketing organic search, web design and optimization of appropriate keywords and management are not optional if you want a successful marketing campaign in line, are absolutely necessary. If you can not afford both, I suggest focusing on the largest number of 60% and pass the CFP.

I recommend a simple solution for my clients to invest in the long journey back long-term growth by developing a good web, monitoring, optimization and the use of CSF as an option short term to start. And the use of direct mail to launch a business and marketing of long-term plans as the word of mouth and loyalty programs to customers establishment of a continued success.
